This is the second face design I drew for the contemporary elizabethan makeup. For the base I wanted a very pale flawless complexion, pale tht it represents the elizabethan era however not white as i dont want the historic look. To set the makeup i would use a white powder to give the face a powder matte look. For the cheeks I wanted them red, contoured just under the cheek bones and up the side onto the temples. For the lips I started with using a gold to line the lips and brought it into a deep red in the middle, blended out nicely. For the eye I wanted the eye lashes to be painted white, and a simple red flick lining the eyes. Under the eyes I wanted the same red line going from the corner of the eye to the edge for it to match parallel to the flick On the lids it would be just set with a basic white basic to keep it simple, the brows I wanted them white but fierce and defined. I would start with brushing the eyebrows up, then brushing through the brows with soap and warm water, this is to set them as they will dry hard and in place, and then go over them with mascara wand and brush through it with white. I chose the main colours to be red and gold as this is classed as royal colour in the 16th century and still today. I kept the make up on a pale base which was very popular in the Elizabethan era, the lashes and brows are white like they are gone as it was know for the Elizabethans to hair fair hair or not brows and lashes at all. The cheeks I used the traditional red colour however applied and contoured it very modern. I got the base and the rest of the inspiration from my first design and the images that led me to create the design however in this design I changed some elements and the overall colour theme.
