First Elizabethan Make up Face Chart

In our recent make up studio session we had to create an Elizabeth make up design. I wanted my to be contemporary and a different unique interpretation of the Elizabethan make up. For the base of the make up I would start will a primer to prep the skin and then add a very, very light foundation. This would be white base foundation by Illamasqua mixed with the lightest colour of foundation from the 8 palette Charles fox foundation. I want the skin the be very pale so it just off white. I would then powder the face with a white loose waterproof powder by Charles fox, this is to set the foundation. For the cheek I wanted bright red very contoured and defined cheeks, this would be from the blusher palette by Charles fox. I also wanted to mix my make up and do something slightly different so for the brows I wanted them red also. This would be again filled in with powder from the blusher palette by Charles Fox. For the lashes I wanted it very natural and light, so I would use a black mascara and run them through the lashes once just to define and extend them slightly. On the lips I want a very natural nude colour, this would be a mix of colour LC142 and the white base foundation as I want it very light and not too far off the skin colour.

I wanted the use of the traditional red and white on the face however on different features of the face. This makes the design have influences of Elizabethan however bringing a unique modern interpretation of the look. I really like this design as I think its very different and I like the use of colour and where it is on the face. I want to create a variety of make up designs on face charts and bring together all the different aspects I like of each design to hopefully come out with a very different Elizabethan interpretation.
